Use the Guided Reading Lesson on the Constitution to complete the graphic organizer on the 3 Branches of Government.
Create a copy of the Venn Diagram on p. 102. Include color. Be sure to list all of the powers that are in each part of the diagram. Read about Federalism on p. 104 and write a paraphrase of this on the back of the Venn diagram.

Classwork-finish for homework
Take an large piece of paper and draw the system of Checks and Balances exactly as it is depicted on p. 104 in your textbook. Use a separate color for the arrows coming from each branch of government. Be sure to include all checks and ensure that the arrows begin and end in the right place. Please put your name, hour and date in the upper right hand corner on the front of the paper as usual.
Choose 3 essays from among all listed in the section “People Making a Difference.”
Summarize each of the essays in no less than one complete paragraph and then write another paragraph commenting on the story.
